Care Guide

Silk is a naturally luxurious fiber that becomes even more beautiful with proper care. Following these simple steps will help preserve its softness, natural sheen, and exceptional quality for years to come. With thoughtful care, your Loomi Silk pieces will continue to deliver lasting comfort, effortless elegance, and the timeless beauty of premium mulberry silk.
Washing
Hand washing is recommended.
- Wash in cold water (below 30°C / 86°F).
- Use a mild detergent specifically formulated for silk or delicate fabrics.
- Gently swirl the garment in water for a few minutes.
- Do not soak for extended periods.
- Rinse thoroughly with cold water.
If machine washing is necessary:
- Place the item inside a mesh laundry bag.
- Select the Delicate or Silk cycle.
- Use cold water and a low spin speed.
Drying
- Do not wring or twist the fabric.
- Gently press excess water out with a clean towel.
- Lay flat or hang to dry naturally in the shade.
- Avoid direct sunlight, which may fade colors and weaken silk fibers.
- Do not tumble dry.
Ironing
- Iron only when necessary.
- Use the Silk or Low Heat setting.
- Iron on the reverse side while the fabric is slightly damp, or place a pressing cloth between the iron and the silk.
- Steaming is also an excellent way to remove wrinkles while helping maintain the natural drape of silk.
Storage
- Store in a cool and dry place.
- Avoid hanging heavy silk items for extended periods.
- Keep away from sharp objects that may snag the delicate fibers.
- For long-term storage, place silk in a breathable cotton bag rather than a plastic bag.
Avoid
To help maintain the beauty of your silk, avoid:
- Bleach
- Fabric softeners
- High heat
- Harsh chemicals
